With the recent release of the Nintendo Switch OLED model, people have different views. Here are my thoughts on Nintendo’s latest installment.

The original switch was released a few years ago in 2017. Two years later in 2019, Nintendo released the second installment known as the Switch Lite which was meant to be much smaller and also featuring non-removable controllers. Nintendo also released a renewed version of the original Switch with a longer lasting battery. Once again two years later, Nintendo has dropped the Switch OLED. People like the switch OLED, and other’s do not. But frankly, I’m definitely kind of disappointed with what Nintendo has been up to.

Like said before I am quite upset with Nintendo. They have not really been doing anything revolutionary. They at least could have at least improved the resolution, because we are stuck with the same 720p on handheld for the Switch OLED. Many were hoping for a 1080p, and there was even a rumor for 4K. Of course The Switch OLED is not all bad. We do have an adjustable stand that is a lot more durable unlike the original Switch’s stand. I still do not understand why the the previous Switch did not have a better stand. As far as battery life goes on the Switch OLED, it is the same as the remastered Switch from 2019 battery life between 4.5 to 9 hours. so there is not much improvement unless you never had the remastered switch. Nintendo really does not seem to be working as hard, and the rage nowadays are mainly the PlayStation, and the Xbox. Personally, I have been a lifelong Nintendo user, but even I would know that the Switch OLED is not Nintendo’s best job.

In conclusion, the Switch OLED hasn’t necessarily met the demand that we were hoping for. A lot of the problems that the previous generations had have not changed whatsoever. For example, the drift. But By all means, there is certainly no doubt that the Switch OLED is all bad, but there are a lot of holes the Nintendo still has not covered. Just to be clear this is my opinion, so make sure this blog does not discourage you from ever wanting to buy the Nintendo Switch OLED. Do check out my other blogs and thanks for reading.
